We thought we’d write a little follow up, from our blog last week about Tom Carr, who bravely stepped in to help his friend Tom Pope by taking part in a boxing match. Well, it paid off – he won!
Tom Pope has been putting on multiple fundraising events whilst training for the Marathon Des Sables, and his aim is to raise £10,000 for MS-UK. He had planned on taking part in a boxing match, but because of an injury he had to pull out. But Tom ‘the carbonator’ Carr couldn’t let his good friend miss out on such a great fundraising opportunity, so he got into the ring and took his place!
Tom Carr fought three rounds at the Clapham Grand for his dear friend, in front of about 500 people! The referee stopped it in the third. Tom’s help takes the donation on Tom Pope’s fundraising past £7000 as well, so it really will make a difference!
Well done to both Toms!
